As to the timing, it could have been completed six months ago. It is Trump's conduct of his case that has led to it being now.
He's trying to string it out to the election and if he wins the first thing he will do is pardon himself.
It's tax that gets them in the end.

And now Federal judge Cannon in Florida has indefinitely postponed the documents trial.
For no good reason. The DOJ had already not contested two delays.
She is in danger of being removed from the case.
It would appear she is hoping Trump gets elected and he rewards her .
Now THAT is corrupt!

This matter has been in the works for over four years.
The delay this year is down to Trump and his mediocre lawyers.
There is nothing "trumped up".
As for "corrupt" where do you begin? Try taking a look at Judge Cannon in Florida. Now THAT's corrupt!

Trumps Corrupt Prosecutor and his unbelievable path to trial.
It defies belief that this man is anywhere near the trial of a former President.
It is further proof if ever any was needed of the people behind this ludicrous "Trumped" up prosecution.
Any decent person would have stood aside.

And before the inevitable Daily Fail comments look at their previous comments on Trump.

I hope when you refer to a decent person standing aside, you mean the orange balloon in a blue suit, Trump.

I am sure Trump would gladly have stood to one side if he could.
But a quick run throiugh the prosecutors CV highlights the problems that the average Joe or Joanna sees in the case, so it enriches and propels Trump towards the Whitehouse, which,
HE DOES NOT DESERVE
Which I have said many times and seems to be ignored
Follow the link for those who do not or due to TDS want to see the problems.

Amazing...
You read the Daily Mail!
As for the prosecutor, one slight problem. HE IS NOT THE ONE ON TRIAL.
And if it hadn't been his job, it would have been someone else's.
It's such a pleasure to have a non-tribal contributor here.....

I draw from a wide range of sources and none is off-limits.
And you working out the prosecutor is not the one on trial is yet more comedy gold.
His CV does have a slight whiff of bias don't you think?
In December 2022, Colangelo, the high-flying third most senior official in President Joe Biden's Justice Department.
Boston University law professor Jed Handelsman Shugerman called the prosecution an ‘embarrassment’ for prosecutorial ethics and ‘a historic mistake’ in an opinion article for the New York Times last month.
he hopped from the Obama Administration Labor Department to the Civil Rights division of the Justice Department and eventually to the Obama White House, where he served as a deputy assistant to the president and deputy director of the National Economic Council.
Colangelo left Washington, D.C., to join New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who was deemed ‘the leader of the Trump resistance’ by Politico and had seemingly reoriented his office for one purpose: Destroying Donald Trump.
It goes on..................

So he's a bright guy who doesn't like Trump.
That would put him among millions in NY and tens of millions across the country.
And guess what?
He doesn't get to choose the verdict. The jury do. If he tables fallacies Trump's defence are there to challenge them. The charges were approved by a Grand Jury.
Compare that to how the Trump sycophant in Florida, Cannon, has continually bent the rules for her hero. And she is THE JUDGE.
Anything else?

Well at last you are grasping that the system is corrupt FOR BOTH sides
Gosh that has taken some time
As to your understanding of the court system maybe we could go step by step to understand the process and perhaps we could start with the charges?
A grand jury is set up by a prosecutor to determine whether there is enough evidence to pursue charges in a case.
The Jury remember haven't even got notification yet.
Even when they are they are guided by the Judge and presented with the "evidence" chosen by someone who is clearly a Democrat and Trump hater.
Which is fine if you don't like Trump but if you are less tribal and longer thinking you might think ahead as to how the corrupt system could be used in the future.

No matter what in the end, facts backed up with evidence are the decider, opinions, lies, fantasy and ranting do not decide, you don’t have to be tribal when looking at Trump’s alleged crimes.
Even you admit that Trump is an obnoxious slime ball, a lying piece of trash, the problem is, he has carried his personal attitudes into public life and a position where he can and will do serious damage to democracy.
His main pursuit of the Presidency now is to save himself and take revenge on anyone who dares to oppose or question him, his latest tactic to blatantly tout oil companies for huge donations, in return for a promise to protect the oil industry from alternatives.
The skunk is already laying the ground to not accept the upcoming election result, his own words, he will accept the results if he feels the election was fair, if he doesn’t win the the results will be looked at very closely, even hinting at possible trouble if he doesn’t win.
You wonder why so many wish to call him to account for previous wrongdoing.

And now those nasty tax people are considering action about a £100m tax fraud relating to a Chicago property.
Why don't they realise he is entitled to be untroubled by laws and cush?
